Who We Are

Open Courts Foundation Inc. is a Newfoundland & Labrador based non-profit dedicated to introducing kids from diverse backgrounds to the game of tennis. We work to break down barriers by supporting children who have historically lacked access to the sport through funding for province-wide tennis programming and try-it tennis clinics. Our goal is to broaden the reach of tennis, inspire confidence, foster lifelong skills, and promote physical, mental, social, and emotional well-being.

Our Programs

  • This program attempts to break the financial barriers of tennis by funding group lesson fees for youth to participate in tennis programming in Newfoundland and Labrador, who may have not otherwise been able to due to their financial situation. Details on how to apply coming shortly!

  • Through partnerships with municipalities, community centres, and schools, this program allows youth to experience tennis free of charge through activities and games at pop-up tennis events, fostering a love for the game and encouraging them to participate in future tennis events and programs in the province.

  • This program introduces youth with intellectual disabilities of any age to the game of tennis, through partnerships with municipalities, community centres, and schools with pop-up tennis clinics.
